Special Attacks

Eight Devil - Once Yuber invokes this power, one of his enemies is pulled into a dark dimension where only he and the chosen foe are standing. Yuber splits into three different versions of himself, all with the intent to kill. Once all three are prepared, they charge forward and slash at the enemy with their swords. Then, all at once, the three swing their swords in a triangular formation, sending a triangle shaped energy blast at the foe.

Thunder Runner - Yuber throws a straight column of lightning at the enemies.

Berserk Blow - Yuber charges up electric energy before throwing it at one enemy.

Soaring Bolt - Yuber crosses his swords and a ball of electric energy charges up on the blades. He throws the ball out, which splits up into multiple orbs, striking one or more foes in their path.

Furious Blow - The clouds cover the skies, darkening the battlefield. Suddenly, a giant ball of electric energy falls from them and onto the earth below. An explosion occurs, electrocuting anyone in its path.

Unite Attacks

Loki: Twin Chaos ~ Yuber and Loki activate their Eight Devil powers. Instead of three each, there are eight all together (four Yubers and four Loki). The process of the Eight Devil attack commences in the shape of an eight pointed star, inflicting major damage to many foes.

Luc and Sarah: Destroyers ~ The three Destroyers stand in a triangular position and raise their weapons. Sarah uses a spell to create illusions of multiple Lucs and Yubers, while Luc and Yuber proceed with an onslaught of magic and swords. Sarah faint afterwards.

Albedo and Petra: Eternal Chain ~ Petra begins the assault, whipping away at the enemy with her Petra Whip. Yuber is next, using his Eight Devil attack. Albedo grins evilly and raises his arms into the air, a white energy storing up into it. He puts his hands together, pointing his index fingers out as though he was forming a gun. As he does, a massive beam of white energy shoots out, hitting the enemy hard.

Background Information

Yuber is a complete mystery. He is known as The Black Knight, but otherwise no one really knows who he is--or what he is. Actually, no one even knows wether Yuber is a he or a she. All that is known about him is that he owns a True Rune, the Eightfold Rune, which has unknown powers. Yuber himself possesses powers that are clearly beyond that of a human being.

Yuber is often seen in the midst of conflicts, such as during the Gate Rune Wars, Dunan Unification War, and the Second Fire Bringer War. He has been a subordinate of Windy for centuries though, helping her find True Runes and destroying countless lives in the process. He was hired by the Highland Army during the Dunan Unification War mainly due to Leon Silverberg who knew Yuber for some reason.

When Luc began to put together his plan to destroy the True Wind Rune, Yuber assisted him for the simple reason that the plan would cause mass chaos and death, which Yuber is fond of. In every conflict that he is a part of, when the going gets tough, he deserts to save his life, like a true mercenary.

Yuber harbors a great hatred towards other True Runes and actively tries to destroy whoever wields their power. The cause for this is unknown as well. Only Pesmerga knows more about Yuber. Pesmerga himself is also a mystery, but he says that Yuber is like a shadow.

Season Five ~ The Cult of the Watchers

Cult of the Watchers Arc

Yuber is one of the lieutenants in the Cult of the Watchers army. He was summoned by Albedo to assist in the conquest of the world. His only condition was that he wished to see the world in chaos. He began his reign of terror by slaughtering many people in the Toran Republic. The Toran Army thought it was Shion and her team from the future who had been terrorizing everyone, but when they finally corner him, he reveals himself. All he leaves behind is a message on the ground written in a fallen soldier's blood. Yuber was next seen along with Albedo, having revealed to torture a woman from Harmonia, Lena, to send the Toran Army their way. They battled at the Orange Country-Toran border, where Yuber's name was spoken for the time. Though he's a demon, not all demon warding spells work, as chaos discovered when he used his Demon Banisher on him. Yuber also displays that if he bleeds his own blood that he will undergo a violent rage, which Spyro and Savannah found out the hard way not to do. Before he could attack, Albedo pulled him out of the fight, since they had completed what they wanted to do. Yuber appears again with Albedo after the Toran Army obtain their Gears and E.S. Units at the Matilda Knights' territory. There he slaughtered many of the knights until it was time to face his true enemies again. Even though they were in giant mechs, Yuber still battled them until Albedo summoned his mech, E.S. Simeon. During this battle, Yuber had to battle the entire Toran Army, those who didn't possess mechs, and still wound up winning. This was until Max appeared. With help from Silver, Laveka, and Masao, Yuber was able to finally defeat the Toran Army and capture Mahna in the process. Once the commander was in their possession, Yuber saw it out that the priestess of the Watchers, Manah, was the one who would brainwash her, instead of Albedo.

Now with Mahna on their side, Yuber accompanied his companions into the Toran Republic for what seemed to be the final battle. His opponents were Spyro and Savannah, whom he who have the satisfaction of paying them back for making him bleed earlier. Masao assisted him in the battle. The Watchers won the battle, but it was all a set-up by Mahna to reveal the priestess to the Toran Army. With this revealed, Yuber quickly got Manah out of harm's way. Almost a day later, Yuber would be introduced to Uriel, Albedo's newest apprentice. From then, Yuber stayed on the sidelines while the Watchers began collecting the Vessels of Anima. He finally returns to the battlefield once Kristin makes her way to the computer world. There, with Albedo, he held her captive until the Toran Army arrived. In reality, Albedo wanted to use her as an excuse to use his Star Sword on her, which Yuber was against. Once she was killed, Yuber took Kristin's body, for reasons unknown. He would later confront Albedo after he tortures Corey. During their talk, Albedo is completely consumed by the rage of the Star Sword. He quickly reported this to Manah, who told him to kill Albedo should he try anything. With that aside, he admitted to Uriel when Urteil occurred he would leave to the chaos, which she insisted she wanted to go to. There, she confessed her true feelings to him and kissed him, which angered Masao. Although, the romance would never happen once the Toran Army invaded. Yuber would lead the entire Watchers army against them, while the remaining lieutenants battled the ones with mechs. The operation was a failure for the Watchers and Yuber flees with the body of Mamie.

Yuber reappears by Manah's side as the Watchers resurface for their plans for world conquest. As Corey and the other mech pilots flew to fight the Watchers' mechs, Yuber appeared outside of Gregminster, ready to fulfill his priestess' plans. He would lead an army of the undead and demons from his world into the imperial city, trying his best to conquer it. With help from Albedo, he would succeed. This victory is shortlived once the Toran Army returns to take back Gregminster. Yuber and Albedo lead their armies against them, while the Star Warriors infiltrate the city to free Lepant and stop Manah. On the battlefield, Yuber battled chaos while Albedo battled Shion. Though he tried his hardest, he was defeated by him and fled.

Urteil starts to happen and the world is being destroyed. Yuber appears on the Battle Ship and takes the imprisoned Manah out of the Toran Army's custody. Chibi-Usa was the one to witness this, but couldn't do anything. Yuber would appear one final time against Albedo on Dark Hill once the queen-beast begins her song of destruction. The chaos demon reveals to his former employer that he had found someone else that needed his assistance. Him and Albedo battled each other one-on-one, neither one of them winning. However, once the queen-beast broke free from the Star Warriors' barrier, Yuber was knocked down by the albino madman. With quick thinking, before Albedo stabbed him, he teleported out of harm's way, and made his former ally stab and kill the queen-beast. Yuber vanishes afterwards.

Movie 5 ~ Castle of Broken Dreams

Yuber makes a cameo appearance in the "Castle of Broken Dreams," awaiting Corey once he got through the Dark Hill memory. This was actually Saseko in disguise, trying to screw around with Corey's mind.

Season Six ~ Tempus Edax Rerum

Tree of Life Arc

Yuber appears in a flashback of Fenrir's, when he recalled the day he was forced to work with the Watchers. Him and Albedo stood by and captured him.

U-TIC Organization Arc

Yuber, the future version, appears before Loki once he returns to Second Miltia. Loki addresses him as "Pops" upon their meeting. He appears briefly after, in the past, with the rest of the Eternal Chain group under the guise of Schwarzes Montel.

Hyrule Arc

Yuber, now Schwarzes, was the first of the Eternal Chain, to battle the Toran Army. He leads an army of undead and demons against them, trying his best to keep Corey silenced. On the battlefield, he battles Loki, who had fallen under his own bloodlust. In the climax, his right hand is severed from his body, making him fall into his violent rage. Xadron stops him and forces him to return. While trying to readjust his hand, Yuber would rediscover his hatred for Albedo, who was now Weiß Montel, by decapitating him for all his crude remarks. Once the Toran Army reached Hyrule, Yuber accompanied his new comrades and took over. By order of Xadron, he was told to reveal his identity, which spooked Loki. Then, by another order of Xadron, he was told to kill Ganondorf, which him and the other lieutenants of the Eternal Chain obliged. After the takeover, Yuber kept a close eye on the Toran Army by sending Carrion Crows after them. The crows, however, were destroyed by Kiba, the other wolves, and Shion's Erde Kaiser Fury.

However, his vengeance against Loki didn't fade away. He sent a shadow doppleganger after him in the Water Temple. After the shadow was killed, Yuber wanted to end Loki's life, but was stopped by Hel. He fled and was punished for his deeds by Xadron. To keep Hyrule under their controll, Yuber and his demons conquered Kakariko Village and Death Mountain, while the other lieutenants captured other areas. He would be the second lieutenant the Toran Army battled. There, him and Loki battled one-on-one once again. This time, though, Yuber got the upper hand, now that his inner Solomon Demon, Agares, had awoken. However, a Rune Cannon shell made Death Mountain erupt and make him lose concentration of the situation at hand. The demons were killed by the lava and Yuber was left alone. Loki, as a last resort, invoked the true powers of Ulrich, Hel, and the Midgard Serpent to exorcise Agares from Yuber's body. After the death of Agares, Loki revealed to the Toran Army that in the future Yuber and him would be "good friends," which is why he can't bring himself to killing him. In his flashback, he speaks to a younger Loki to flee back to his mother. He had obviously been in a battle that he lost terribly, since Loki looked upon him a bloody mess. Yuber even tells Loki that he carries his legacy with him. He would live on to teach Loki the arts of chaos. Back in the present, once Yuber recovered, he was invited to join the Toran Army. He accepted the offer, not only to get revenge against Xadron, but to keep a close eye on Albedo.

Yuber's first task as a Toran Army member was to help Mahna and Rei craft a symbol to exorcise the demon, Bifrons, from Petra's body. With the task done, Yuber watched in horror as the demon was ripped to shreds by an invisible force from Mahna. This was the first time in his history that he was actually terrified.

Eve of the Climax

Yuber didn't have much to say to Corey and Winona when they attempted to speak to him. He decided to ignore them and stand in the darkness, preparing for the final battle.

Final Battle Against Xadron

Yuber became part of the away team that breaks into Hyrule Castle. He teams with Albedo, Petra, Mun, Hel, and Ulrich against the twin jesters, Zorn and Thorn, and easily defeats them. However, once they merge into the Meltigemini, a difficult battle follows. With help from Hel, they're able to kill the demon. He stays behind instead of following the others, since he had depleted all his energy in the fight. However, the Eternal Chain Incarnate would invoke a spectre of Yuber, as Schwarzes, in the final battle.

Jiendo Arc

Yuber attends the celebration party, reluctantly, along with the other former lieutenants of the Eternal Chain. He wouldn't be seen afterwards.

During the final battle against Xadron, Yuber, along with the other Stars of Destiny, appear to use their strongest attacks on the Nobody. He makes one final appearance at Loki's funeral, then vanishes. Corey assumes he disappeared because there was less chaos in the world.

Recruiting Yuber

Gemini reveals the following steps to recruiting Yuber if "Freiheit" was an RPG game.

Recruiting Guide: After defeating Yuber in Kakariko Village, place Loki, Hel, Ulrich, and Mun in the party and return to the ruins. Speak to Yuber, who complements the chaos you've caused. When asked if you truly destroyed the village, reply "Yes, we did." He'll be glad to hear the Toran Army has turned over a new leaf and will join.
