Unite Attacks

Toboe: Unlikely Partner ~ Tsume and Toboe revert to wolf form, growl, then charge at the enemy.

Kiba, Hige, Toboe, and Blue: Wolf's Rain ~ The five wolves gather around the enemy in a circular formation. They growl and revert to wolf form, leap into the air, and begin to bite and scratch whomever they are attacking.

Background Information

Tsume is a rough, self-reliant wolf. In the past, he was part of a pack. However, one day his pack was attacked by Jaguara's troops and many of his comrades were killed. During the fight, Tsume attempted to flee, leaving all of his dead and dying brethren behind. Because of this, the rest of the pack cast him out, and the leader attacked him, leaving him with a large X-shaped scar across his chest. Filled with shame, Tsume did not assosciate with other wolves for many years, and became the leader of a group of human thieves. However, he eventually meets Toboe, who at first seems to annoy him. However, Tsume later feels sympathy and compassion for Toboe, who is the one who eventually convinces him to come with the rest of the "pack" to Paradise. Initially, he does not believe the stories of Paradise, and claims he only follows the others out of boredom of his original home. He often finds himself in conflict with Kiba, finding his single minded devotion to be irritating. However, he does eventually become a believer and enjoys the company of his pack mates. After Kiba, he is the best fighter among the wolves and is more analytical and observant.

Season Six ~ Tempus Edax Rerum

Tree of Life Arc

Tsume appeared with the rest of his pack when Luc's extraction ritual failed and triggered a Time Distortion. Instead of listening to Kiba to join the Toran Army, he leaves, since he doesn't trust humans. He is next seen in an episode where he and Toboe find company in the home of Malon of Lon-Lon Ranch.

Xadron Arc

Tsume appears again when Kiba and Hige are searching for survivors. He battles Kiba one-on-one at the Lon-Lon Ranch, not believing it was the real one, only an illusion cast by Yuber. After he lost, he obeyed Kiba to battle the Carrion Crows. He is wounded, but is saved by Shion and her team.

Eve of the Climax

Tsume, along with the other wolves, are found in the kitchen speaking to one another on what to do when the battle's finally over.

Jiendo Arc

Tsume appears only once in the Jiendo Arc during the vicious assault on Xadron at the beginning of the finale.

How to Recruit

If "Freiheit" was a videogame, here's how to recruit Tsume:

After recruiting Willis, agree to undergo the extraction ritual. Watch the scene and recruit Kiba and Hige. After the events in Hyrule where Xadron takes over, put Hige and Kiba in your party, then head for Lon-Lon Ranch. Defeat Tsume in a duel, then defend the ranch against the Carrion Crows. After the battle, Tsume and Toboe will join.
