Unite Attacks

Tsume: Unlikely Partner ~ Tsume and Toboe revert to wolf form, growl, then charge at the enemy.

Kiba, Hige, Tsume, and Blue: Wolf's Rain ~ The five wolves gather around the enemy in a circular formation. They growl and revert to wolf form, leap into the air, and begin to bite and scratch whomever they are attacking.

Background Information

Toboe is the youngest of the group, often acting more like a puppy than a wolf. Toboe was raised as a pet by an elderly woman, whom he accidentally killed in an unrestrained act of playfulness. The silver bracelets are all he has left of her. Toboe maintains an affection for humans that none of the other wolves can understand (with the exception of Blue). Toboe looks up to Tsume and usually follows him when the group splits up. He also seems to have the best hearing out of all of them. He often is more shy than bold, although when the pack is in dire threat his rage can stand beyond his timid nature and propel him ravenously into battle.

Tree of Life Arc

Toboe appeared with the rest of his pack when Luc's extraction ritual failed and triggered a Time Distortion. He was willing to join the Toran Army, but left to keep an eye on Tsume. He is next seen in an episode where he and Tsume find company in the home of Malon of Lon-Lon Ranch.

Xadron Arc

Toboe appears again when Kiba and Hige are searching for survivors. He stays in the background of Tsume's duel against Kiba, but asserts himself into battle when Yuber's Carrion Crows attack. He is wounded, but is saved by Shion and her team.

Eve of the Climax

Toboe, along with the other wolves, are found in the kitchen speaking to one another on what to do when the battle's finally over.

Jiendo Arc

Toboe appears only once in the Jiendo Arc during the vicious assault on Xadron at the beginning of the finale.

How to Recruit

If "Freiheit" was a videogame, here's how to recruit Toboe:

After recruiting Willis, agree to undergo the extraction ritual. Watch the scene and recruit Kiba and Hige. After the events in Hyrule where Xadron takes over, put Hige and Kiba in your party, then head for Lon-Lon Ranch. Defeat Tsume in a duel, then defend the ranch against the Carrion Crows. After the battle, Tsume and Toboe will join.
