Mizor

Age: Unknown

Freiheit Debut: "Mizor"

Occupation: Giant Rabbit

Voice Actor: N/A

Seiyuu: N/A

Mizor is a giant rabbit that Viki cared for since Slappy moved into Toran Castle. He didn't reveal himself until his mistress told Nadir and Elvira about him. When she did, he decided to roam around outside the castle, which resulted in parts of it being broken. When a mob formed to get rid of the rabbit, Viki revealed that he liked to eat meat and grapes, hated vegetables because they stut his growth, and liked being called "Mizor-bunny." As a plan went underway to get rid of him, he had already ran away, claiming the castle hurt his teeth. Besides Viki, Elvira was one of the only people who wanted him to stay.

Angels of Yggdrasil

The Angels of Yggdrasil are the guardians of each of the World Tree's spheres. In reality, they are actually the sacred animals that protect it, but took human disguises to fight against their enemies and take on their angel's name. Only Sandalphon doesn't take a human form, since he feels more powerful in his true serpent form.

  • Sandalphon

Yggdrasil Sphere: Malkuth

Angel Title: The Angel of Song

Freiheit Debut: "Heart of Glass"

Voice Actor: Paul St. Peter

Seiyuu: Akio Otsuka

Special Attacks:

  • Infinity: Only if Svafnir and Ofnir are alive, the two serpents entwine each other, forming a figure eight. They glow a bright blue and blast their enemies with heavenly energy.

Sandalphon was the first of the ten angels to attack the Toran Army when they entered Yggdrasil. He battled against Sephiroth, Cloud, Harle, Corra, Oshria, and Miku in the form of a massive black serpent. Though he fought well against them, because of Miku's camera, his fate was sealed. Sephiroth sliced him in two with his Masamune. However, the pieces of Sandalphon would regenerate into two different serpents, one white and one red. The red serpent was named Svafnir and the white one named Ofnir. The battle resumed, this time a lot difficult than before. During this battle, Cloud would lose all feeling and functions in his wing as Ofnir bites into it. After using their Infinity attack, Sephiroth cast his Descend Heartless Angel spell on them, weakening them long enough for Harle and Corra to finish them off. Later, Deis would reveal that Sandalphon was actually a guardian wyrm of Yggdrasil named Nidhogg.

  • Gabriel

Yggdrasil Sphere: Yesod

Angel Title: Angel of Truth

Freiheit Debut: "Heart of Glass"

Voice Actor: Crispin Freeman

Seiyuu: Hikaru Midorikawa

Special Attacks:

  • Sonic Slash: At a fast velocity, Gabriel flies at his enemies and slashes at them with his wings.

Gabriel was the second angel to fight the Toran Army in their quest to meet the Mad Hatter. He battled against Usagi, Ami, Rei, Makoto, Minako, and Mamoru, who are supported by Luna. He could see through their disguises easily, since he was the angel of truth. He battled them fiercely, not showing them any mercy that an angel should show. In the end, Mamoru used his Tuxedo La Smoking Bomba attack to burn away his wings, thus making him mortal. The Sailor Senshi combine their attacks and destroy him afterwards. Later, Deis reveals that Gabriel was actually a guardian hart named Dain.

  • Raphael

Yggdrasil Sphere: Hod

Angel Title: Angel of Knowledge

Freiheit Debut: "Heart of Glass"

Voice Actor: Jamieson Price

Seiyuu: Banjo Ginga

Special Attacks:

  • Whirlwind: Raphael shoots a whirlwind from his mouth to blow away charging opponents.

Raphael was the third angel to fight the Toran Army. He battled against Aya, Iria, Kei, Serge, Kid, and Viki, with support from Nineve. Being the angel of knowledge, he knew each of their attacks, which made it easy for him to dodge. At first he used his bare hands while they fought, but then brought out a huge sword when he was corned by Aya. Kid used her Hot Shot attack to burn his wings away, making him completely vulnerable to attacks. With that, Aya drove her gunblade into his eye and pulled the trigger multiple times, blowing his brains out and killing him. Later, Deis reveals that Raphael was a guardian hart named Dvalin.

  • Auriel

Yggdrasil Sphere: Netsach

Angel Title: Angel of Life

Freiheit Debut: "Ark of the Covenant"

Voice Actor: Melissa Williamson

Seiyuu: Yumi Toma

Special Attacks:

  • Poison Mist: Auriel spews a black mist at her enemies. Anyone who should inhale it is poisoned instantly.

Auriel was the fourth angel that battled the Toran Army and the only female angel. She battled against Gremio, Ted, Kiba, Hige, Elvira, and a recovering Willis, with support from Nadir. Though being the angel of life, she brought on more destruction than life. She poisoned Elvira with her poison mist attack, which was quickly recovered by Nadir. When she was distracted with Gremio and Willis, Hige and Kiba bit her wings off her back, leaving her wide open for Ted's Judgment spell. She died instantly. Later, Deis revealed that Auriel was a guardian hart named Duneyr.

  • Michael

Yggdrasil Sphere: Tiferoth

Angel Title: Angel of Courage

Freiheit Debut: "Ark of the Covenant"

Voice Actor: Richard Epcar

Seiyuu: Mitsuaki Hoshino

Special Attacks: N/A

Michael was the fifth angel that battled the Toran Army. In his sphere, he battled against Sephiroth, Cloud, Corra, Harle, Oshria, and Miku. Because they had recently fought Sandalphon, they were still exhausted from battle, which made the fight easy for Michael. During the battle, Harle and Corra worked together to burn his wings away, making him vulnerable. He went into a rage and continued to battle until Cloud used his Omni-Slash attack to finally end his life. Later, Deis revealed that he was actually a guardian hart named Dyrathor.

  • Khamael

Yggdrasil Sphere: Geburah

Angel Title: Angel of Divine Love

  • Telepathy: Khamael metally lifts up anyone or anything in the area with his mind.
  • Ice Strike: Khamael makes a few ice spears form and he throws them at an enemy.

Khamael was the sixth angel confronted in Yggdrasil. Though he's suppose to be a male, he appears to be female, addressing that beauty is power and he has it. He battled against Takato, Henry, Rika, Ryo, Magus, and Cedric in a difficult fight where most of his attacks wouldn't hurt just the Digimon the children merged with but it would target them as well. Unaware, most of his wings were burned away by the Digimon attacks and were finally severed by Cedric's chained scythe. Magus, with enough time, dispelled Khamael's barrier, leaving him wide open for Takato, as Gallantmon Crimson Mode, finished him with a Final Justice. Deis reveals later that Khamael was a guardian goat named Heidrun.

  • Tzadkiel

Yggdrasil Sphere: Chesed

Angel Title: Angel of Divine Justice

Freiheit Debut: "Ark of the Covenant"

Voice Actor: Richard Epcar

Seiyuu: Akio Otsuka

Special Attacks:

  • Alpha and Omega: Tzadkiel never got to use this attack. When he does, he charges white energy into his body and makes it explode outward to consume his enemies.

Tzadkiel was the seventh angel confronted. In his sphere, he battled Davis, Ken, Yolei, Kari, TK, and Cody in a relentless battle. The Chosen Children had their Digimon DNA Evolve with each other and battle him. It turned out this angel had the ability to regenerate as long as his wings were still intact, as displayed when Imperialdramon cut his head off. Silphymon used its Static Force attack to burn his wings off and let Imperialdramon finish him off. Later, Deis reveal that Tzadkiel was a guardian swan named Brynhildr.

  • Tzaphkiel

Yggdrasil Sphere: Binah

Angel Title: Angel of Life and Death

Freiheit Debut: "Voice of God"

Voice Actor: Steven Jay Blum

Seiyuu: Hiroshi Kamiya

Special Attacks:

  • Holy Strike: Tzaphkiel points his sword at an opponent and blasts them with a beam of holy energy.
  • Divine Lightning: Tzaphkiel summons bolts of lightning from the heavens to strike his foes.
  • Divine Ice: Tzaphkiel summons chunks of ice from the heavens to strike his foes.
  • Ice Strike: Similar to Khamael's attack, Tzaphkiel forms spears of ice and throws them at his opponents.

Tzaphkiel was the eighth angel confronted. His challengers would be Hotaru, Setsuna, Haruka, Michiru, Chibi-Usa, and Deis, accompanied by Artemis. Like Khamael before him, he was a powerful magic user and a fierce fighter. None of the Outer Senshi's attacks really did much damage to him until Hotaru blew off his wings with her Silence Glaive Surprise. Deis would finish the angel off by blasting a ball of dark energy into his mouth. The result would be the angel's face literally exploding into bloody chunks. Later, Deis revealed that Tzaphkiel was a guardian swan named Sigrdrífa.

  • Raziel

Yggdrasil Sphere: Chokmah

Angel Title: Angel of Mystery

Freiheit Debut: "Voice of God"

Voice Actor: Greg Ayres

Seiyuu: Kenji Nojima

Special Attacks:

  • Shockwave: Raziel unleashes a strong shockwave, sending his enemies to the floor.
  • Maelstrom: Raziel blasts his enemies with a strong wave of fire and destruction.

Raziel was the ninth angel confronted. He fought against Mahna, Savannah, Spyro, Ulrich, Corey, and Luc, supported by Mun. During this battle, Raziel made multiple clones of himself that used different kinds of spells against his opponents, starting from weak all the way to his strongest. The Star Warriors, Ulrich, and Luc stood in a circle to combat against the clones as best they could and killed them all nearly unharmed. After the clones were destroyed, the real Raziel appeared to fight. His winged would be destroyed by a massive blast of energy by Spyro, then he would be destroyed by Mahna. Deis later reveals that Raziel was a guardian squirrel named Ratatosk.

  • Metatron

Yggdrasil Sphere: Kether

Angel Title: Angel of Death

Freiheit Debut: "Voice of God"

Voice Actor: Richard Cansino

Seiyuu: Hiyama Nobuyuki

Special Attacks:

  • Metatron's Cube: All of Metatron's attacks revolve around his cube. Should it ever reach the Merkabah stage, his ultimate attack will be unleashed.
  • Tetrahedron: The cube glows red and launches snake-like tendrils of fire at his foes.
  • Dodechadron: The cube glows purple and launches out bolts of dark lightning.
  • Octohedron: The cube glows green and a spear of light forms, which Metatron throws at one foe.
  • Merkabah: The cube glows pink and a ball of dark energy forms. The effects are unknown, since the spell was interrupted.

Metatron is the final angel that the Toran Army fights in Yggdrasil. He fought against Mahna, Savannah, Spyro, Ulrich, Corey, and Luc in a difficult battle of magic. Of all the angels fought, he was the most strongest of them. Throughout the entire battle, he questioned everyone's faith, telling them that killing an angel would make it so they would never be reincarnated again. Mahna didn't care and lead her team against him. His wings were destroyed later on in the fight by Mahna's Dark Arcana, leaving him vulnerable. His barrier wasn't destroyed with them, which made Corey slash away at him repeatedly until it was. He then laid a devastating shot at the angel and managed to destroy him. Deis revealed that Metatron was the guardian falcon, Vedhrfolnir.

There she explained that she had an encounter with a creature like that during her adventures in the dream world and that it nearly killed her. It appeared again and nearly killed Savannah, due to Miku's cowardice. When it came down to the last battle against this monster, Savannah and Corra merged to get her into her Star Warrior form. The light she radiated seemed to harm it and ward it away. With her new power, and Saria purified, Savannah used her Phoenix Iris Arrow to banish the Kusabi back to the darkness.

The Kusabi returned as a creature that haunted Winona and Corey when they were trapped in their memories. It was summoned by Weiß this time to mess with them mentally instead of physically. It lead the two into a cavern that the man in white claimed was Winona's birthplace. After ripping apart a fake Kristin, Albedo summoned the Kusabi again to deal with the two. Corey, in Star Drake form, and Winona battled the evil spirit, no longer afraid of it. The spirit was banished back to the darkness by a combination of the Starlight Rush and a Purity Arrow.

Hel decided to fight the shadow herself until Loki told her to get Viki out of the Water Temple instead. When she did that, the two resumed where they left off and battled each other spear-to-spear. In the end, Loki finished his "dark half" with the Rhonogowennen spear. The shadow wouldn't die without driving its own through Loki's back. Charon is the perverted ferryman of the Shadow Temple that spoke with a cockney accent. He doesn't get along well with Link, apparently, when he saw him in the Toran Army party to save Impa. He would let them ride his boat if, and only if, Miku gave him a kiss after they got to the other side. Before the price could be paid, a fire creature summoned by Rot appeared to kill them. Instead of getting his kiss, Charon was forced to row as fast as he could to avoid the beast. After the fire demon was killed, he told them to forget about the kiss. Miku gave him one anyway to thank him. Before he sailed off, he told Link he'd forget about his grudge against him if he protected Zelda and Hyrule after this.
