Rauru is the second-in-command of the sages. He was the one who helped Link get started on his quest to save the others when he first started. When the Toran Army arrive, he's the first sage to arrive. News of the Black Hearts don't seem to affect him much, since he has knowledge about them from unknown sources. Somehow he was able to repel Xadron's wish to make the sages his loyal servants. Though he wanted to stay and save the other sages from the new enemy, he knew it was best to flee for now. He fled along with the others by Viki's teleportation. Rauru wouldn't be seen again until Zelda used him as a chess piece against Ferdinand when they played. He's seen again going with Link and Zelda saving the Gorons from Death Mountain when Mahna commands a blast from the Rune Cannons. Rauru would finally take command of an army unit when it came to driving away Rot's demons from Kokiri Forest. On the eve of the climax, he gathered with the rest of the sages, Alex, Luna, Link, and Zelda to play a tune on their ocarinas to ease the tension for the upcoming battle. On the day of the final battle, he's present along with everyone else, ready to take Hyrule back from Xadron. By the end of the hellish battle, Rauru and the sages combine their powers with Zelda's to seal Xadron and Ganondorf in the dark world forever.
Rauru reveals to Oshria and her Guardians that he had once taken shelter in Sanzemica as a teacher for future generations and that the Hylians were descended from ancient Sanzemicans. He even shows them a special chamber below the Temple of Time where time means nothing and that the Radiant Star could be reforged in there. Later on, he would show the chamber to the Star Warriors, the sages, Link, and Zelda. With the reforging ceremony a success, he would later flee with everyone as Jiendo awoken from her slumber.
Rauru is present in Kakariko to thank the Toran Army for all they've done for them.

Saria is the Sage of Forest and best friend of Link's. She was the first sage to be rescued by him when his quest began, proving how strong their friendship truly is. Before coming to the castle to meet the Toran Army, she had been playing a game of chess with Ferdinand and winning. However, her fate, like the other sages, would be a turn for the worst when Xadron wishes upon the Triforce the sages to be his servants. Darkness and malice filled Saria and turned her from her innocent self to an insane, bloodthirsty savage. She would be sent back to the Forest Temple in the Lost Woods to maintain Xadron's position of power in Kokiri. The result of this would be the destruction of the woods, thus destroying her kind, the Kokiri. Once the Toran Army, with Link and Zelda found her in the temple, she summoned her guardian, the Kusabi, to deal with them. While they battled it, Zelda fought Saria in her Shiek form to purify her. She couldn't have done it without the help of Hel, who distracted the sage long enough for the princess to knock her out. Once purified, the forest and the Kokiri returned. She felt horrible for her crimes and didn't want to be seen in the company of her people. Savannah had to smack her in the face to get her come to her senses. Saria would be a chess piece in Zelda's game of chess against Ferdinand. She would also help Link and Zelda evacuate the Gorons from Death Mountain when Mahna forces it to erupt with a Rune Cannon shell. When the time came to liberate Kokiri Forest of Rot and her demons, she would assist Sephiroth by leading a group of Kokiri archers into battle. On the eve of the final battle, she would join her fellow sages, along with Link, Zelda, Alex, and Luna, to play their ocarinas to ease the tension of battle. By the end of the final battle, Saria joined the sages to imprison Xadron and Ganondorf in the dark world forever. She would take place in the reforging of the Radiant Star ceremony afterwards and is last seen fleeing from the Temple of Time when Jiendo awakens.
Saria is present in Kakariko to thank the Toran Army for all they've done for them. She even volunteers herself and the Kokiri to help rebuild their world. In the conclusion, she is seen arguing with Ruto on what color a shop should be.
