Karasu
Age: Unknown
Freiheit Debut: "Left in the dark! Rise of the nightmare demon!"
Occupation: Nightmare Demon
Voice Actor: Melodee M. Spevack
Seiyuu: Hiromi Nishikawa
Karasu is a nightmare demon forced to feed off the lives of the innocent in their sleep. She is imprisoned behind a gate, entitled Makai, that will only open at night. Once she is freed, she has until sunset to find a suitable host to feed her before she is sent back to her prison. She comes across Corey one night and enters his dreams. There she proceeded to unleash her dark magic in his mind, forcing him to see his nightmare even when he's awake. The more he lives in this state, the stronger Karasu becomes to feed off his life. It seemed the only object to temporarily nullify the effects was a gem Mahna had in her possession, one that could block off nightmares. The only way to wake Corey from his nightmare was make him live it once again to its fullest. After he completes his quest in the dream world, Karasu becomes visible and attacks. She battles against Mahna, Corey, Ted, Setsuna, and Rei in the bath hut. She would become the first victim of Corey's Soul Eater, as she was blasted by a Black Shadows and Judgment. She was presumed dead after she was hit by the spell. In reality, she was banished back to the Gates of Makai waiting for the cycle to continue. Instead of targeting other people, she targets the Toran Army in a fit of revenge. Her first victim on her path to vengeance was Viki, making an apparition that resembled Rambo kill her pet rabbits and leaving their mangled corpses around her. Her other victims included Sakura, Victoria, and Savannah. She was ready to possess Mahna, but she sensed her coming and warded her away. After calming down the victims, Mahna realized that Karasu had indeed returned. She asked Jane to make her a Spirit Bowl, an item that would seal the demon forever. In order to lure her into the trap, someone had to sleep. Viki was chosen as the "victim." In the dream, Viki battled Karasu, while Mahna recited the incantation to seal her away.
Karasu wouldn't return until the fall of the Cult of the Watchers. Glenn, possessed by Saseko, knocks out Corey and smashes the Spirit Bowl to release her. There, the nightmare demon made a deal with Marluxia, a member of Organization XIII, to mess with Corey's mind, hoping he'll forget the Toran Army and help him overthrow his Superior. The plan would be thrown into chaos when Axel, number eight of the Organization, freed a girl named Winona and she told him the truth. She sent Saseko, her new partner, to help Corey stop Marluxia. By the end of his adventure, Corey is seen walking to a shrine in the dream world. Karasu would appear before Glenn in the Castle of Broken Dreams, wondering what path he would take to get rid of Ansem's darkness. Her plan all along was to get Glenn to betray the Toran Army and force him to serve her. This plan came into effect when both Corey and Glenn made it to her shrine. She holds Winona hostage to force them into doing what she wished. She would grant either of their wishes: Corey getting his memories restored or Glenn being freed from Ansem's darkness, if they battled each other to the death. Being the Spirit Bowl had weakened her and she needs to feed. She would be surprised when neither of them decided to fight and merged with Saseko into a hideous beast. She battles Corey, Glenn, and Winona, and nearly wins. But the power of friendship conquers all as Glenn and Corey finish her off with a Starlight Rush. Neither Saseko or Karasu return after this encounter.
- Gemini admitted that Karasu was originally supposed to be named "Naitomea," but changed it because it sounded too much like "nightmare." Karasu can be translated to "crow" in the Japanese language.

Lepant

Age: over 60
Freiheit Debut: "Is the deal off? Attack of the Waltzes!"
Occupation: President of Gregminster
Origin: Suikoden
Voice Actor: Richard Epcar
Seiyuu: Akio Otsuka
President Lepant debuts by questioning Savannah and Spyro on the attack of Mae Young. When he doesn't get any answers from them, he asks for Corey for the same questions. While the young man told him everything he knew, he almost mentioned Ted's name, which was made strictly forbidden by Leknaat, as said by Luc. Almost a few minutes later, Gregminster was attacked again by the Crack Waltzes, which Lepant had had troubles with before in the past. Lepan explains his situation to Mahna and asks her to find a way to stop the senseless destruction caused by the three. With the deed done, Lepant congratulates the Toran Army for their valiant efforts. As thanks, when Toran Castle is damaged, he allows them to stay in Gregminster until it is repaired. He's present when Corey trains with Weltall, calling the mech the "Slayer of God." After Mae Young is defeated, he asks the Toran Army to find a way to pay for the repairs of their castle. To help them out, he donates 100,000 potch to their cause. While they are repairing, he spends some time in the City-State of Jowston, speaking to Shu and Teresa Wisemail. He would arrive just in time to attend the plays the Toran Army would perform.
Lepant would play a major role in the battle against the Cult of the Watchers, sending more and more back-up to the Toran Army to help them in their cause. He even manages to convince Gremio to join them. Besides the Toran Army, he is the main target of the Watchers army. Thanks to Mahna, the Watchers aren't able to carry out their mission to conquer Gregminster. He wouldn't appear until after the Sky Fortress is destroyed, where he doesn't allow the Toran Army to evacuate the city when Urteil occurs, the reason being he doesn't wish to choose what they can and cannot do with their lives. He will try to convince the people to leave, but it would take time. His plan would have to wait when the Watchers appear again. He'd accompany his fellow army members into battle against the evils that plagued the computer world, trying his best to defend Gregminster. However, Albedo would play dirty and use a bomb to annihiliate most of the army of Gregminster. Amongst the chaos, Lepant, McDohl, and Gremio were captured. Usagi and Luc would return to Gregminster to help save them from the Watchers, getting them on board Battle IV. He is last seen when Greg says that Mahna plans to kill the leader of the cult, Manah.
Lepant reappears in the "Castle of Broken Dreams" movie in one of Corey's memory chambers. Like the first day they met, the Crack Waltzes are attacking Gregminster to get their products approved for usage. In the finale of the memory, Corey teams with Gremio and Tir McDohl to stop the waltzes and save the president. He walks off, muttering curses for the damages made to the castle, a reference to when the Toran Castle was damaged.

He reappears in time when Mamie, possessed by Mae Young, arrives in Gregminster to capture Corey. When that happens, he's told to team with Glenn, Aya, Ted, Viki, and Luc to invade Mae's temple. Before they could, they are attacked by the Crack Waltzes, Triple H, Trish Stratus, and Purichado. When reinforcements arrive, he helps chase them into the temple, right on time to witness Mae drinking from the Star Goblet. When she does this again and transforms into a grotesque beast, him and Luc team up to hold off her onslaught on the planet with their True Runes while the Star Warriors recover. After Mae's defeat, Sasarai agreed to help in the rebuilding of Toran Castle by performing in one of Nadir's plays. Days later, when the Watchers invade, Sasarai is greeted by a member of Harmonia's army, Lena Suphina, and is told that the Grasslands and Zexen are being attacked by the Watchers. Because of this, Sasarai leaves the Toran Army temporarily to help strengthen the alliances between the Grasslands, Zexen, Harmonia, and the Orange regions. He returns when the Watchers attack after their Sky Fortress is destroyed, gathering any and all reinforcements for battle.
Mordecai
Age: 20
Freiheit Debut: "Dance Dance Revolution! Mordecai, the mystery dancer!"
Weapon Class: Gun
- Lvl. 1-11: Wyvern
- Lvl. 12-16: Vendetta
Runes:
Occupation: Justice Bureau agent
Voice Actor: Liam O'Brien
Seiyuu: Takehito Koyasu
Mordecai is a Justice Bureau agent sent to back-up the Toran Army if they ever needed it. He meets them at a Dance Dance Revolution contest to win 50,000 potch. He becomes a fan favorite and shoe-in for first place when he easily dominates against Team Italy. When the semi-finals begin, he easily defeats Team China, much to everyone's surprise. The finals would begin between him and Team Toran (Spyro and Savannah). Both teams are doing good until Trish Stratus and her Monjin, Odoriko, interfere and steal the prize money. When she tries to retreat, she makes Odoriko grow to tear apart Domino City. Mordecai tells Spyro that the both of them have to defeat the monster by being in perfect syncronization in their Gears. Together, the two are able to destroy the Monjin and get the prize money. This wouldn't change the fact that they had to decide who would get it. Anzu Mazaki, the hostess of the contest, tosses a coin and the winner winds up being Mordecai. Instead of taking the money for himself, he donates it to the Toran Army and joins them. When Nadir starts his play, Mordecai decides to invite Leknaat for the festivities and even offers to pay for her ticket in. Instead, Nadir says that she doesn't need to pay to get in. He would play the part of Egus in "A Midsummer Night's Dream." About a day later, when on the quest for the Ragnarök dagger, he would accompany the Star Warriors in their Gears to battle a demon called Rydnat.
As the Watchers invade, Corey sees a vision in the Star Plate that shows Mordecai dying in battle. Knowing this, Mordecai vowed to battle to his heart's content. He would accompany his army comrades in a battle against Yuber and Albedo in Wyvern. He would appear again in his Gear accompanying Savannah and Spyro in a battle to defend the Orange Country against Masao and his mech, Bladegash. The battle was a failure, yet the Watchers weren't planning a takeover. It was more to show-off the new mechs than an actual battle.
Later on, Mordecai's true nature would finally be revealed during the search for the Vessels of Anima. Iria was sent to get the relic, Zebulun, from the desert region only to be attacked by a suddenly insane Mordecai. Shion and KOS-MOS revealed that he was a test subject for a drug called "reshka," which was suppose to cure insanity. Instead, it kept it at bay for a limited time. Since he was the only test subject, he kept the whole vial. The side effects included insanity, schizophrenia, suicidial thoughts, bipolar behavior, and depression. The Toran Army battle against him in their Gears and manage to damage it with the Erde Kaiser. Unfortunately, Wyvern had stumbled upon the Vessel of Anima he was searching for and evolved to Vendetta, a fearsome mech that reflected Mordecai's insanity. MOMO and Ziggy battle him alone and manage to damage the new mech. Its leaking fluids end up creating the beast Major Numerus, a four-headed snake creature. Mordecai would appear to battle Savannah and Spyro in the Sacred Sea when they searched for the Vessel of Anima, Joseph. It seemed like Mordecai had the victory until the Anima Relic that the two Star Warriors were looking for found them. Vendetta was destroyed, as was the snake demon it spawned. As a result of his crimes, Mordecai was arrested, never to be seen again.

The Kukai Foundation was behind the operation of going back into the past to stop the Watchers from destroying the future. Somehow, Gaignun Kukai, or Nigredo, got his hands on time traveling technology and left the operation in the hands of Shion and the others. Once in a while, Mary and Shelley can send different items from their time to the past to aid them in their quest. Gaignun, though he's in a different timeline, can still speak to Jr. through telepathy. Had it not been for these guys, they wouldn't have been able to get the Star Plate, E.S. Units, the Erde Kaiser, or knowledge of the Vessels of Anima. Sending items through time take a month and two weeks, since that's how long the main time machine has to charge. While Gaignun was telling Jr. about the Vessels of Anima, his connection is cut-off short when he senses that Albedo could still link with him in their communications. Jr. can no longer link to the Kukai Foundation when Urteil is reported to occur in the short time span. They are all assumed dead as soon as the event happens. After the queen-beast is killed, Gaignun and the rest of the Kukai Foundation is shown during the credits alive and well, congratulaing both Jr. and Shion on a job well-done.
